Delivery & Liability Policy
Effective date: January 1, 2026
Scope and scheduling
This policy governs artificial turf deliveries by Blue Rock Materials when provided to and accepted by the buyer before purchase. Deliveries are scheduled between 6:00 AM and 4:30 PM Pacific Time on the delivery date confirmed with the customer, subject to applicable local delivery and noise restrictions. Delivery hours are separate from yard opening hours. Arrival estimates may change because of traffic, weather, access conditions, or equipment issues. Contact us before arranging installers around an estimated arrival time.
Driveway placement and curbside alternative
Artificial turf rolls will be placed in the customer's designated driveway area when that area is safely accessible and suitable for unloading. Customers must provide the correct address, clear vehicles and obstructions, secure pets, and keep children and bystanders away from the unloading area.
If the driveway is inaccessible because of vehicles, obstructions, inadequate clearance, unsuitable ground, or other safety concerns, delivery may be made to a safe, lawful curbside location at the same property that the customer has authorized. Curbside placement must not obstruct sidewalks, accessibility routes, traffic, fire hydrants, or other restricted areas. If neither location is safe, lawful, and authorized, the driver will contact the customer and may postpone delivery. A photograph does not authorize unsafe or unlawful placement.
The driver may decline any maneuver or placement that appears unsafe. Delivery does not include carrying rolls into a residence, garage, backyard, or other interior area, spreading material, installation, or later relocation unless expressly included in the order.
Property access
Customers requesting entry beyond the curb must have authority to permit access and identify known hazards, including weak pavement, septic systems, buried utilities, irrigation, slopes, and overhead restrictions. Heavy delivery vehicles and equipment may damage surfaces unsuitable for their weight. Customers are responsible for loss caused by their inaccurate access instructions or failure to disclose known hazards, to the extent permitted by law. This provision does not excuse unsafe driving, negligent unloading, or other conduct for which Blue Rock Materials remains legally responsible.
Unattended delivery authorization
An unattended delivery requires the buyer's advance written or electronic authorization specifying the delivery address and approved placement area, including whether curbside placement is permitted if the driveway is inaccessible. Customers should be present or arrange for someone to receive and promptly secure the order. Without unattended-delivery authorization, delivery must be received by the customer or an authorized representative.
Documentation and completion
The driver will take timestamped photographs showing the turf rolls, their visible condition, and their final placement. Blue Rock Materials will associate these photographs with the order and record the delivery address, date, time, and relevant placement instructions. Delivery confirmation will be sent using the customer's provided contact information.
For an authorized unattended delivery, delivery is complete when the correct ordered goods are placed at the correct address in the safe, lawful location authorized by the buyer, the placement is documented, and delivery confirmation is sent. For an attended delivery, completion also requires receipt by the buyer or authorized representative. Photographs are evidence of placement; they do not conclusively establish correct quantity, absence of defects, or compliance with the order.
Responsibility after completed delivery
To the extent permitted by applicable law and the buyer's accepted order terms, ownership and risk of subsequent loss transfer to the buyer upon completed delivery as defined above, unless a separate signed agreement provides otherwise. The buyer is then responsible for securing, protecting, storing, and relocating the turf.
Blue Rock Materials is not responsible for theft, vandalism, weather exposure, loss, damage, or relocation occurring after completed delivery when not caused by Blue Rock Materials or persons for whose conduct it is legally responsible. This includes loss caused by leaving the order unsecured or by handling or storage after delivery. It does not cover delivery to the wrong address, unauthorized placement, shortages, preexisting damage, defective goods, or other failure to fulfill the order.
Inspection and concerns
Inspect the order as soon as reasonably possible and before cutting, installing, or otherwise altering it. If the product, quantity, or visible condition appears incorrect, promptly contact Blue Rock Materials with the order number, description, and photographs. Where reasonably possible, pause use of the affected material so the concern can be investigated. Failure to notice a hidden defect immediately does not waive rights provided by law.
Additional services and legal rights
Any proposed redelivery, relocation, or additional-service charge will be disclosed and agreed to before the additional service is performed. Nothing in this policy excludes liability for fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, violations of law, or other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, or limits nonwaivable consumer or warranty rights. Revised terms apply prospectively and do not retroactively change accepted orders.
